Fitness Takes the Lead in Jaipur as the Third Edition of Marudhara Half Marathon 2026 Concludes Successfully

 


Thousands of runners participate with great enthusiasm

Jaipur. The third edition of the Marudhara Half Marathon, organized by Kalptaru Shiksha Samiti with the aim of promoting health and fitness awareness in the city, concluded successfully on Sunday. More than 2,000 runners from different age groups participated enthusiastically in the 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km categories, making the event a memorable celebration of fitness.

The marathon was flagged off by the Chief Guest, Mr. Neeraj K. Pawan, Secretary, Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Rajasthan.

Distinguished guests included Mr. Jyotikumar Satija, IG, Railway Protection Force (RPF), North Western Railway; Mr. Ashish Sharma from ANS Solar; Mr. Rohit Patni from Shubhaashish Marina; and Mr. Dinesh Pahadia, General Manager, RIICO. The main attraction of the event was Ms. Aditi Sharma, Miss India Celeste India 2025, whose presence added to the excitement and enthusiasm of the participants.

The marathon commenced from the Bombay Hospital, Jaipur campus. Runners followed a route through the Sitapura Industrial Area up to Shubhaashish Marina and returned to Bombay Hospital, where they crossed the finish line. The energy and determination of participants were visible throughout the route.

On this occasion, Mr. Neeraj K. Pawan said, “The objective of the Marudhara Half Marathon goes beyond just running. It aims to promote health awareness while also encouraging Rajasthan’s rich culture, art, and traditions.”

IG RPF Mr. Jyotikumar Satija said, “Sporting events like this not only promote fitness but also foster a sense of responsibility and discipline in society. The participation of youth, families, and people from various age groups reflects how a healthy lifestyle is gradually becoming a people’s movement.”

ANS Solar was the title sponsor of the event, while Shubhaashish Marina and RIICO were the co-sponsors. Participants from various age groups actively took part and demonstrated their commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

The organizers stated that the marathon aimed to inspire people to adopt regular exercise and spread awareness about fitness in society. All participants who completed the race were provided with T-shirts, medals, and refreshments.

After the marathon, participants also enjoyed a vibrant cultural program alongside fagotsav (holi) celebrations, showcasing Rajasthan’s cultural heritage and adding a festive touch to the event.

Comprehensive security, medical assistance, and other necessary arrangements were efficiently managed throughout the program, ensuring that the event concluded peacefully and successfully.
